DESCRIPTION
The artwork “Your Choice Doesn’t Matter” is an interactive installation in the form of a gumball machine that dispenses capsules containing fictional pharmaceutical products. The “drugs” function symbolically, suggesting a growing tendency to treat human relationships as something that can be regulated or controlled. Two opposing screens simultaneously attempt to influence the visitor’s decision, creating a moment of hesitation and doubt. Through the act of choosing, the work calls into question the notion of personal autonomy and the authenticity of human connection.
